Food is a big part of everyone’s well-being, and South Redford students need a place to eat where they can connect with others, recharge, and enjoy a sense of happiness in their school. That’s why we serve food kids love to eat and create programs that encourage fun and discovery.

 

Our foodservice team is passionate about using fresh, nutritious, minimally processed and locally sourced ingredients, and we foster a sense of adventure in students through experiential learning activities – all with healthier students, healthier communities and a healthier planet in mind.

South Redford School District remains CEP for the 2023/2024 school year. So what does that mean to families and students?
CHILDREN ATTENDING SOUTH REDFORD SCHOOLS WILL CONTINUE TO RECEIVE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH AT NOT COST regardless of previous eligibility.
 
We still need EVERY HOUSEHOLD to complete the online Education Benefits Form (formerly Household Income Information Report) as part of their enrollment or Jump Start packet OR to turn in ONE (1) paper form that includes ALL household members. The online link is located below and the printable pdf. version is located to the left. Please turn in the completed paper form to the secretary at your student's school or email it to: [email protected] 
 
WHY is this important and necessary? Even though the forms are no longer needed to determine if a student will receive meals for free or at a reduced price, many areas of your student's education rely on State and Federal funding, and the amount of funding each school receives is determined by the information gathered from the Education Benefits Forms. The more forms that are turned in, the more funding the schools will receive. We want to ensure that South Redford School District receives all the funding it can to benefit our students, so we need your help. Please complete an Education Benefits Form online or turn one in.

BREAKFAST IS SERVED!
Breakfast is served at all Schools in the South Redford School District and it is FREE! 
*Elementary students  - Have breakfast in their classroom.
*Vandenberg Breakfast - Grab & go upon entering the building and students eat in the classroom
*Middle School students - Go to the cafeteria as they arrive to school.
*High School students - Go to the cafeteria or grab a bag at Door 2.  In the new BLOCK Schedule, students with B Lunch will eat later in the the afternoon on Tuesday - Friday, so grab a breakfast and save it as a snack.
Parent/Guardians of students with Dietary Needs:
If your student needs special meal accommodations due to food allergies, please download the pdf. on the left side of this page and have it completed by the student's Medical Professional. Once completed, please return it to your student's School Secretary who will then send it into the Food Service Department. Please know that requests based on Religion or the student's food preferences are not required to be honored according to the current regulations.

The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
