I earned a Specialist degree in Humanistic Psychology from The Center for Humanistic Studies and a Ph.D. in interdisciplinary studies with subfields in Psychology and Curriculum and Instruction from Union Institute and University.
I joined South Redford School District in September, 1988 and I alternately taught first and fourth grade at both Jefferson Elementary and Fisher Elementary for 8 years. I became a principal at Addams Elementary and served there for 12 years. I live in the Addams Elementary neighborhood and I continue to enjoy my interactions with students and families in the community. I am currently serving the district as the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction.
I have a daughter with 2 elementary age sons, who lives in Lansing (where I grew up). I have 2 sons; one lives in the area and the other is married and lives with his wife and two small boys in Port Washington, New York.
My husband and I enjoy visits to the DIA and the Henry Ford as well as walking the trails at Kensington Metro Park.
